Playmobil toys are my pick for best kid gift. I gave this a lot of thought and came up with the following three reasons:
1.They are well-made and plastic. Kids are germy. You can wash these easily and buy them from ebay with a clear conscience.
2.They are a unisex toy. The classic figures aren’t gross versions of reality tv stars like bratz dolls. You can buy doll house sets, pirate ship sets, hospital, zoo, etc.
3. The sets are very specific. The accessories are really delightful. The school woodshop set kills me as does the ambulance that comes with a bicycle…I guess the cyclist had an accident.
PLAYMOBIL
It’s like Legos. When I have a kid I’ll buy him/her a lot of that and play with him/her.
A staple of my childhood… These toys are a must-have for any kid, they fire up their imagination and are very well designed. That and Legos.
