This week Buy Some Damn Art brings us Alan Brown’s spooky watercolors. I looked at these and was slightly repulsed by the bleeding eyes. Until, it hit me: This is exactly the kind of art to buy a kid. These watercolors are beautiful, awesome, and strange and that is something that children keenly understand. Giving children real art is one of the best ways to teach them art appreciation (especially if you hang it up in their rooms alongside their own artwork).
